Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Zambid collects when you use our website, mobile apps, and seller cockpit, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.

Using the Platform is governed by our Terms & Conditions — please read both together.

We collect three broad categories of information:

• You give it to us: name, phone number, email, shipping address, bank or wallet details for payouts, business documents for seller verification, and any content you publish (listings, stream footage, chat messages).
• We collect automatically: IP address, device and browser information, approximate location, and usage patterns (pages visited, shows watched, items bid on).
• From third parties: verification results, fraud signals, payment confirmation, and authentication results for high-value categories.

We use your information to:

• operate the Platform — host shows, process bids, settle payouts in PKR;
• verify your identity and prevent fraud, abuse, and money laundering;
• personalize your discovery feed and suggest shows you might like;
• send transactional emails, push notifications, and (with consent) marketing updates;
• improve the product through aggregated analytics and quality assurance;
• comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

We share data only when it is necessary to run the Platform, including:

• Counterparties to a transaction: a winning buyer’s shipping address is shared with the seller; a seller’s display name is visible to bidders.
• Service providers: cloud hosting (DigitalOcean), payment processing, identity verification, streaming infrastructure, customer support, and analytics partners, each under a written data-processing agreement.
• Legal and safety: where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Zambid, our users, or the public.
• Corporate events: if Zambid is acquired or merges, user data may transfer subject to this policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure how the site is performing. You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings; some features may stop working if you do.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal, accounting, and tax obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements.

We protect data with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, scoped access controls, secrets management, and continuous monitoring. No system is perfectly secure — if you discover a vulnerability, please report it to hello@zambid.com.

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• access the personal information we hold about you;
• request correction of inaccurate information;
• request deletion of your account and associated data;
• object to certain uses (e.g., marketing) or withdraw consent;
• request a portable copy of your data.

Zambid is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have, we will delete it promptly.

Our infrastructure and some service providers are located outside Pakistan. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on contractual protections to maintain an equivalent level of protection.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified to registered users by email and posted here with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
